GOD… THE CREATOR… IS WORTHY OF PRAISE ….. March 8, 2020
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1 ESV
For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities- all things were created through him and for him. Colossians 1:16 ESV
And you Lord, laid the foundation of the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the work of your hands; Hebrews 1:10 ESV
By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible. Hebrews 11:3 ESV
WORTHY ARE YOU, OUR LORD AND GOD, TO RECEIVE GLORY AND HONOR AND POWER, FOR YOU CREATED ALL THINGS, AND BY YOUR WILL THEY EXISTED AND WERE CREATED. Revelations 4:11 ESV
People have many different views and opinions of God today. Opinions do not and will not change who God is…. The creator of all that is. God is beyond anything a person could ever fathom or try to explain. The more someone tries to make human sense of God, the smaller he can become in the mind. To place God in the box of human understanding is not possible. By faith the Christian believes God created all things that are seen, known, or will ever be discovered. The information we have received about God in the Bible is so deep and vast yet simple and inviting to all who will receive the words in faith. All who, by faith, believe will begin a journey into learning the way God would have us to live and will receive a glimpse of things to come. The sovereign God over all the earth created you and me for a purpose, on purpose, and for His purpose. What purpose has God created you for? God only knows, but if you believe god has created you then know it is for more than you could ever imagine. God never makes a mistake, for He is perfect in ever way even if you don’t fully understand the why’s to life’s questions. What I do understand and believe we are created for, if we are to live as one who by faith knows God, is……
TO BLESS HIS NAME:
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Psalm 103:1 ESV Why does David make this statement, “Bless the Lord O my soul”? Take a moment and read the rest of Psalm 103, and if you fully understand what God has done for you and who He is, you will want to live as one who honors and brings a testimony of blessings to his name. David, in this Psalm, begins and ends with the words every Christian should desire to live our for our creator God…… Bless the LORD, O my soul.
TO WORSHIP GOD:
Jesus said when tempted by Satan in the wilderness, “You shall worship the Lord your God, and him only shall you serve.” Luke 4:8 ESV Jesus, being God in the flesh, was tempted in every fashion as we are tempted but never sinned. (Hebrew 4:15) God knows how we feel in every situation of life and knows we are dust and weak, so He did for us by grace what we could never do…. He lived perfect and was sacrificed to pay the debt sin we could never pay. Because Jesus did this we are made right with God …. Justified ….. forgiven of all our sins. (2 Corinthians 5:21) When realizing every sin in your life has been forgiven by God’s sacrifice and grace….. worship of Him should be the natural response. True worship is from the heart and can only be seen by God. Praise, which I will teach next, is outward. Worship of God comes from deep within the soul of a person acknowledging God as creator of all things and simply that HE IS GOD. Worship will always view, believe, and acknowledge God…. As God and worthy of worship. This person will see God’s signature upon all creation and know God owns it all yet allowed you to be a part of all that He, the I AM, has created.
TO PRAISE HIM:
TRUE PRAISE!!!!! … matches what’s in the heart. Don’t mistake being godly as just keeping a set of rules or traditions. Jesus said to the Pharisees and scribes, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written, “This people honors me with lips but their heart is far from me. You leave the commandments of God and hold fast to the traditions of men.” Mark 7:6 ESV We praise God with song, (Psalm 69:30) in our prayers, in our speech, (Psalm 66:17) in our actions. (Colossians 3:17)
I will bless the LORD at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. Psalm 34:1 ESV
Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD, our maker! Psalm 95:6 ESV
Think much about the God we serve and worship and praise HIM!!!
